Flexible failure detection with κ-fd [PDF]
Many people rightly consider that failure detection should be provided as a generic distributed system service to be used to support fault-tolerance within many applications, in spite of possibly very diverse requirements.

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Cooperative Failure Detection in Overlay Multicast ⋆ [PDF]
. Node failures and ungraceful departures are important issues to be dealt with in overlay multicast. Fast detection is key to minimizing the disruption of service to the affected nodes participating in the multicast session.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Perfect Failure Detection with Very Few Bits [PDF]
International audienceA \emph{failure detector} is a distributed oracle that provides the processes with information about failures. The \emph{perfect} failure detector provides accurate and eventually complete information about process failures. We show

Detection Signal Design for Failure Detection: a Robust Approach [PDF]
Projet META2The detection signal is an input signal that enhances the detectability of failure. Assuming that the normal and the failed behaviors of a process can be modeled by two linear systems subject to bounded energy perturbations, a method for ...
