Right Ventricular Myocardial Biomarkers in Human Heart Failure
Background: Right ventricular (RV) dysfunction contributes to mortality in chronic heart failure (HF). However, the molecular mechanisms of RV failure remain poorly understood, and RV myocardial bio-markers have yet to be developed. Methods and Results:

Ligand‐dependent transcriptional heterogeneity in cell cycle gene expression delays G1/S entry
EGF and HRG induce distinct G1/S progression programs in ErbB2‐amplified BT474 breast cancer cells. Despite activating the potent ErbB2–ErbB3 heterodimer, HRG does not accelerate cell‐cycle entry. Instead, EGF promotes earlier restriction‐point passage via ERK–FOS signaling, whereas HRG activates the AKT–MYC axis, driving transcriptional heterogeneity ...

Mechanisms of failure of jointed rock masses and the behaviour of steep slopes [PDF]
The geomorphological behaviour of steep jointed rock slopes has been studied using distinct element method computer models. In order to model steep slopes effectively, methodologies need to be combined from the studies of environmental modellers ...

Evaluation of the performance of reinforced concrete beams with 3D-printed permanent formwork
Understanding the advantages of combining traditional construction methods and 3D concrete printing is the gateway to the general structural applicability of three-dimensional concrete printing (3DCP) technology. To further this objective, in this study,

Synergistic perspectives—How single‐molecule biophysics complement biochemical understanding
In this review, we discuss how ensemble biochemistry and single‐molecule approaches are complementary, outline commonly used single‐molecule techniques, and illustrate their relevance through two representative case studies: chromatin organization by SMC complexes and pathway choice during DNA double‐strand break repair.

Translophagy—A potential link between autophagy impairment and translational errors
Neurodegenerative diseases are characterised by the accumulation of abnormal proteins and protein aggregates, but their origin often remains unknown. We propose that selective autophagy removes damaged protein‐making machinery, preventing errors during protein synthesis.

‘Guide and Prejudice’— How Argonautes recognize targets across domains of life
Argonaute proteins use short nucleic‐acid guides to locate and regulate specific targets across all domains of life. Despite striking diversity—from human gene silencing to bacterial immune defence—all Argonautes share a conserved three‐stage recognition logic: guide‐directed sampling, progressive target pairing with a conformational checkpoint and ...

Structural and biochemical analysis of a B12 superbinder
BtuG proteins are vitamin B12 scavengers in Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, a dominant human gut bacterium. We present crystal structures of three BtuG homologs bound to cobalamin and its precursor cobinamide, revealing picomolar binding affinities, among the highest known for any natural protein.

Failure Mechanisms in Bolted CFRP
An experimental investigation on the damage mechanisms of mechanically fastened joints in composite laminates is presented. This information concerning damage mechanisms is required before developing damage progression models.
