Hydrodynamics of Slopped Falling Films

2002
The stability analysis of the viscous liquid film flows leads to mathematical models which are derived from complete boundary problem for Navier-Stokes equations and include dispersion and dissipation. The principal property of similar flows is there are mechanisms of instability and itself development which form progressive or steady wave structures ...

Shear wave instability for electrified falling films

Physical Review E, 2013
The effect of an electric field on the shear wave instability pertaining to a gravity driven conducting liquid film is studied based on the Chebyshev-Tau method. The shear wave appears at very large values of the Reynolds number when the inclination angle is sufficiently small.

Falling Films Under Complicated Conditions

2007
A film falling down an inclined plane has been an active topic of fundamental research at the international level for several decades both theoretically and experimentally and is now a classical hydrodynamic instability problem. However, the dynamics of a falling film in the presence of additional complexities, as compared to the classical problem, has
