Clinical recommendations for early identification of patients with open‐angle glaucoma at higher risk of low adherence to topical treatment: An Italian Delphi consensus

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose It is important for clinicians to identify patients with glaucoma at higher risk of poor adherence to topical therapy at an early stage to prescribe alternative treatments. An expert‐based set of statements was developed to assist clinicians in the early identification of patients at high risk of low adherence and subsequent poorer ...

Rational points on even‐dimensional Fermat cubics

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 13, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract We show that even‐dimensional Fermat cubic hypersurfaces are rational over any field of characteristic not equal to three, by constructing explicit rational parameterizations with polynomials of low degree. As a byproduct of our rationality constructions, we obtain estimates for the number of their rational points over a number field and ...

Special Fano geometry from Feynman integrals

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
One of the fundamental open questions in QFT is what kind of functions appear as Feynman integrals. In recent years this question has often been considered in a geometric context by interpreting the polynomials that appear in these integrals as defining ...

Electromagnetic Quasinormal Modes: A Foundational Framework for Describing Fano Resonances of Extinction Spectra

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
An ab initio electromagnetic framework links quasinormal modes to Fano resonances in extinction spectra. Analytical expressions for the Fano asymmetry and intensity parameters are derived from overlap integrals, enabling rapid spectral reconstruction and physical interpretation.

Toward the classification of higher-dimensional toric Fano varieties

open access: yes, 1999
The purpose of this paper is to give basic tools for the classification of nonsingular toric Fano varieties by means of the notions of primitive collections and primitive relations due to Batyrev.

Electrically Reconfigurable Quasi‐BIC Metadevices Enabled by Integrated Barium Titanate

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
An electrically reconfigurable quasi‐BIC metasurface is demonstrated by monolithic integration of barium titanate. Leveraging the Pockels effect, linear tuning of 1.79 nm/V is achieved, enabling a 250 μm2 miniaturized spectrometer with 0.2 nm resolution, 99% fidelity, and high throughput.

Giant Circular Dichroism in Chiral Broad Flat‐Band Quasi‐BIC Metasurface

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 9, 13 May 2026.
Tuning the near‐field coupling between adjacent nanopillars gradually flattens the photonic band. Reducing the interpillar spacing strengthens mode hybridization, yielding an ultraflat dispersion that hosts a high‐Q quasi‐BIC. This work delineates the physical mechanism linking structural parameters to flat‐band formation, enabling giant circular ...

Symmetries of Fano varieties

open access: yesJournal für die reine und angewandte Mathematik (Crelles Journal)
Abstract Prokhorov and Shramov proved that the BAB conjecture, which Birkar later proved, implies the uniform Jordan property for automorphism groups of complex Fano varieties of fixed dimension. This property in particular gives an upper bound on the size of finite semi-simple groups (i.e., those with no nontrivial normal abelian ...
