The instrumental variable multichannel FAP-RLS and fap algorithms

Processing Workshop Proceedings, 2004 Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal, 2005
The LMS and affine projection algorithms (APA) and its fast version (FAP) may suffer convergence slowdown in the presence of strong correlation between the input samples (colored input signals). In the case multichannel adaptive filtering, this problem may be compounded by strong correlation between the channel signals.

A spectroscopic and Judd–Ofelt analysis of the relaxation dynamics of Tm3+ in the fluorapatites, FAP, S-FAP, and B-FAP

Optical Materials, 2002
Abstract The spectroscopic analysis of the absorption properties of the Tm3+ ion in the three fluorapatite crystals has been performed. Using the room temperature absorption data, the spontaneous emission rates, cross-sections and cross-relaxation rates have been determined using Judd–Ofelt theory.

FAP Neuropathy and Emerging Treatments

Current Neurology and Neuroscience Reports, 2014
Transthyretin familial amyloid polyneuropathy (TTR-FAP) classically presents as a length dependent small fiber polyneuropathy in endemic countries like Portugal. In nonendemic countries, it may mimic a variety of chronic polyneuropathies, with several phenotypes: ataxic, upper limb onset neuropathy, or motor.

The current status of chemoprevention in FAP

Familial Cancer, 2006
The inevitable development of colorectal cancer in untreated patients with familial adenomatous polyposis means that without question the safest preventative measure is surgery to remove the precursor lesions – the colonic adenomas. However, surgery is radical, not without risks and is often scheduled during the most turbulent age of a patient with FAP,

Eicosapentaenoic acid and chemoprevention of FAP

Gut, 2010
In this issue of Gut , West et al 1 report positive results of a chemoprevention trial in British subjects with familial adenonomatous polyposis (FAP) ( see page 918 ). There is a long history of use of natural products in FAP and other adenoma prevention trials.2 4 In most cases the rationale seems predicated on notions of likely safety and ...
