In this paper, in order to improve the calculation accuracy and efficiency of α-order Caputo fractional derivative (0 < α ≤ 1), we developed a compact scheme combining the fast time stepping method for solving 2D fractional nonlinear subdiffusion ...

Fast Perturbative Algorithm Configurators [PDF]
Recent work has shown that the ParamRLS and ParamILS algorithm configurators can tune some simple randomised search heuristics for standard benchmark functions in linear expected time in the size of the parameter space. In this paper we prove a linear lower bound on the expected time to optimise any parameter tuning problem for ParamRLS, ParamILS as ...

The Algorithm and Structure for Digital Normalized Cross-Correlation by Using First-Order Moment
Normalized cross-correlation is an important mathematical tool in digital signal processing. This paper presents a new algorithm and its systolic structure for digital normalized cross-correlation, based on the statistical characteristic of inner-product.

Efficient Implementation for SBL-Based Coherent Distributed mmWave Radar Imaging
In a distributed frequency-modulated continuous waveform (FMCW) radar system, the echo data collected are not continuous in the azimuth direction, so the imaging effect of the traditional range-Doppler (RD) algorithm is poor.

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

A Fast Algorithm for Calculation of Thêo1 [PDF]
Thêo1 is a frequency stability statistic which is similar to the Allan variance but can provide stability estimates at longer averaging factors and with higher confidence. However, the calculation of Thêo1 is significantly slower than the Allan variance, particularly for large data sets, due to a worse computational complexity.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Some FFT Algorithms for Small-Length Real-Valued Sequences
This paper proposes fast algorithms for computing the discrete Fourier transform for real-valued sequences of lengths from 3 to 9. Since calculating the real-valued DFT using the complex-valued FFT is redundant regarding the number of needed operations ...
