Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

BMI‐1 modulation and trafficking during M phase in diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The schematic illustrates BMI‐1 phosphorylation during M phase, which triggers its translocation from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. In cycling cells, BMI‐1 functions within the PRC1 complex to mediate H2A K119 monoubiquitination. Following PTC596‐induced M phase arrest, phosphorylated BMI‐1 dissociates from PRC1 and is exported to the cytoplasm via its

A Fast DOA Estimation Algorithm Based on Polarization MUSIC [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2015
A fast DOA estimation algorithm developed from MUSIC, which also benefits from the processing of the signals' polarization information, is presented. Besides performance enhancement in precision and resolution, the proposed algorithm can be exerted on ...

Fast Tetrahedron-Tetrahedron Overlap Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Graphics Tools, 2002
We present an algorithm to test two tetrahedra for overlap. The algorithm is based on a dimension reduction technique that allows to apply the Separating Axis Theorem avoiding part of the computation needed to perform the Separating Axis Test. Source code is available online.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Combined Randomized-Local Hough Transform versus UpWrite Transform in stamp detection [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2003
The conventional Hough Transform used for detection of objects with known shape and size has proved its robustness. One typical task for this transform can be the detection of stamp(s) on an envelope.

A Fast Algorithm for Sparse Controller Design [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We consider the task of designing sparse control laws for large-scale systems by directly minimizing an infinite horizon quadratic cost with an $\ell_1$ penalty on the feedback controller gains.
