Simultaneous Enhancement of Performance and Stability in Dual‐Gate a‐IGZO Thin‐Film Transistors via Single‐Step Laser Annealing for Capacitor‐Less DRAM

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single‐step laser annealing strategy is presented for dual‐gate a‐IGZO TFTs. The steep thermal gradient induces graded oxygen doping in the channel and simultaneous WOx removal at the contacts, enabling concurrent interface and contact engineering.

Functionalizing Micro‐to‐Mesoscopic Electrode Architectures for Regulating Electron Transfer Behaviors in Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

Semianalytical description of the modulator section of the coherent electron cooling

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2013
In the coherent electron cooling, the modern hadron beam cooling technique, each hadron receives an individual kick from the electric field of the amplified electron density perturbation created in the modulator by this hadron in a copropagating electron

Ground-Based Radar Detection for High-Speed Maneuvering Target via Fast Discrete Chirp-Fourier Transform

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Detection of high-speed maneuvering targets has attracted a great deal of attention recently. There are two main problems to be solved: improving detection ability under the condition of complicated range migration and Doppler frequency migration effects,

Fast inverse nonlinear Fourier transform [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2018
This paper considers the non-Hermitian Zakharov-Shabat (ZS) scattering problem which forms the basis for defining the SU$(2)$-nonlinear Fourier transform (NFT). The theoretical underpinnings of this generalization of the conventional Fourier transform is quite well established in the Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur (AKNS) formalism; however, efficient ...

Noise‐Limited Bit Precision in Ferroelectric Synaptic Transistors for High‐Resolution Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐frequency noise spectroscopy defines the resolvable conductance states of synaptic FeFETs by coupling read‐current fluctuation with usable dynamic range. The resulting noise‐limited bit precision establishes a universal, device‐agnostic reliability metric beyond the memory window, enabling quantitative benchmarking and rational design of high ...

An Edible Chitosan‐Based Acoustic Sensor for Sound‐Responsive Actuation in Edible Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces an edible acoustic sensor for robotic food and edible robotics. Built from a chitosan piezoelectric film between gold electrodes, the sensor enables acoustic communication through ON/OFF keying. Integrated into an edible robot with pneumatically actuated arms and neck, it responds to high‐frequency tones.

Disentangling Bulk and Surface Contributions to Charge and Discharge Fading in High‐Voltage LiCoO2

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High‐voltage operation of LiCoO2 accelerates capacity fading through bulk and surface degradation. By introducing a LiTaO3 coating to selectively suppress surface degradation, bulk and surface contributions to charge and discharge fading are decoupled.
