Nitride MXenes remain constrained by a persistent gap between computational prediction and experimental realization. This Review identifies the thermodynamic, kinetic, and chemical barriers limiting their synthesis, critically evaluates emerging fabrication routes, and proposes a multidimensional computational‐experimental framework to accelerate the ...

Study on cook-off characteristics and thermal safety venting area of RBOE charge
RBOE is a new type of DNAN-based high-energy melt-cast mixed explosive, whose safety under thermal stimulation is significantly affected by heating conditions and venting area of the warhead.

Generation of shock waves in dense plasmas by high-intensity laser pulses
When intense short-pulse laser beams (I > 1022 W/m2, τ < 20 ps) interact with high density plasmas, strong shock waves are launched. These shock waves may be generated by a range of processes, and the relative significance of the various mechanisms ...

A post‐growth method is demonstrated to realize energy‐tunable quantum emitters in GaAs/GaAsN/GaAs core–multishell nanowires on a Si substrate. By combining the N‐induced bandgap reduction with H‐ion irradiation, the GaAsN potential landscape is engineered, enabling isolated, narrow emission lines that function as single‐photon sources with g(2)(0) ∼ 0.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY METHOD OF GASEOUS FUEL COMBUSTION WITH THE USE OF QUASI-OPTICAL MICROWAVE [PDF]
Subject of Research. The paper deals with the problem of developing low emission combustors operating on natural gas or LPG, to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides NOx. The possibility of burning very lean fuel mixtures is studied.

Progress and perspectives of fast ignition
Recent progress in the physics of fast ignition of fusion targets is reviewed here. Fundamental studies on hot electron energy transport show that the scheme looks promising if the heating pulse can be guided close enough to a compressed core. The idea of using cone-guided compression was first demonstrated experimentally under a Japan-UK collaboration.

Relativistic laser channeling in plasmas for fast ignition [PDF]
We report an experimental observation suggesting plasma channel formation by focusing a relativistic laser pulse into a long-scale-length preformed plasma. The channel direction coincides with the laser axis. Laser light transmittance measurement indicates laser channeling into the high-density plasma with relativistic self-focusing.

Macropore‐infused nanocomposite emulsion thermosets (MINETs) offer tunable multifunctionality due to their incorporation of structural resin, functional nanoparticles, and working fluid stabilized by surfactant. Here we show that if ionic liquid working fluids are introduced, structural capacitive (conductive particles) or separator (insulating ...
