Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...

Neutron heating effects on ignition and burn dynamics of DT fuel in fast ignition inertial fusion
The effects of neutron heating are investigated in fast ignition laser fusion targets using deuterium–tritium (DT) fuel, ranging from ignition-scale to high-gain targets.

A high‐entropy strategy is developed to break the trade‐off between low melting point and high ionic conductivity in molten salt electrolytes. By incorporating CsBr and LiF into the LiCl‐LiBr‐KBr system, the quinary LiF‐LiCl‐LiBr‐KBr‐CsBr electrolyte achieves a record‐low melting point of 229.5°C while maintaining a high conductivity of 1.19 S cm−1 at ...

Human iPSC‐derived Fabry cardiomyocytes exhibited broad transcriptional dysregulation, apoptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, impaired reactive oxygen species handling, altered contractility, and abnormal calcium transient decay, potentially mediated by phospholamban hyperphosphorylation.

A new fuel compression method for a fast ignition scheme is discussed. To form a high areal density fuel plasma for the ignition condition, homogenous isentropic compression (HIC) with solid spherical target is effective.

The phosphite group endows intrinsic flame retardancy, while the P = O bond enhances intermolecular interactions to realize solid‐solid phase transition. Battery thermal management tests show the materials extend the safe working time of lithium‐ion batteries by 200%. Cone calorimeter tests indicate a 14s delay in ignition time, and reductions of 37.6%,

Impact of a polysidpersed fuel distribution on the ignition characteristic
Determining the thermal profile of ignition is important because the desired ignition behavior varies with the objective. For example, extended ignition prolongs the time that the engine runs; however, fast ignition offers a higher power gain.

Cavity‐Enhanced Eye‐Readable Detection of 0.1% H2 via Active Modulation of Charge‐Transfer Plasmons
A cavity‐structured nanoparticle sensor is developed for highly sensitive, eye‐readable hydrogen detection. Its excellent colorimetric response arises from a hydrogen‐induced charge‐transfer mechanism: reduction of the dielectric oxide shell in H2 triggers a transition from the plasmonic gap mode to the charge‐transfer plasmon mode.

Direct synthesis of sulfonimide‐based polymers of intrinsic microporosity enables comparison with compositionally similar flexible analogs. Incorporation of a common pore‐filling transport medium drives these fundamentally different polymer architectures toward similar bulk conductivity and mechanical properties while revealing distinct microscopic ion‐

Time‐resolved synchrotron radiography reveals the internal evolution of electrochemical double‐layer capacitors under abusive overcharge. EDLCs are shown to follow a thermally driven failure pathway involving electrolyte decomposition, gas generation, and structural collapse, distinct from chemically driven thermal runaway effects of Lithium‐ion ...
