Multi UAV Coverage Path Planning in Urban Environments
Coverage path planning (CPP) is a field of study which objective is to find a path that covers every point of a certain area of interest. Recently, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has become more proficient in various applications such as ...

Fast Marching Methods - parallel implementation and analysis
Fast Marching represents a very efficient technique for solving front propagation problems, which can be formulated as partial differential equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions, called Eikonal equation: $F(x)|\nabla T(x)|=1$, for $x \in \Omega ...

A fast marching algorithm for the factored eikonal equation [PDF]
The eikonal equation is instrumental in many applications in several fields ranging from computer vision to geoscience. This equation can be efficiently solved using the iterative Fast Sweeping (FS) methods and the direct Fast Marching (FM) methods.

Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Fast Marching-based globally stable motion learning [PDF]
In this paper, a novel motion learning method is introduced: Fast Marching Learning (FML). While other learning methods are focused on optimising probabilistic functions or fitting dynamical systems, the proposed method consists on the modification of ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Perspective shape-from-shading by fast marching [PDF]
Shape-from-shading (SfS) is a fundamental problem in computer vision. At its basis lies the image irradiance equation. Recently, the authors proposed to base the image irradiance equation on the assumption of perspective projection rather than the common orthographic one.
