Fatigue damage in composite cylinders
AbstractIn this study, optimal angle‐ply orientation of symmetric composite cylinders under fatigue loading is investigated. The fiber‐reinforced plastic cylinders were manufactured from E‐glass/epoxy. The layers were manufactured symmetrically in [±75°]2, [±60°]2, [±55°]2, and [±45°]2 orientations.

The fatigue performances of carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites – A review
The fatigue loading is the proximate factor leading to the performances degradation of the Carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites and structures, which detrimentally affects the service-life and damage tolerance.

Linear Damage Rule Life Prediction for Stress Controlled Fatigue-Creep Interaction of Aluminum Alloys [PDF]
The fatigue-creep interaction performance of 5086 and 6061-T651 aluminum alloys were investigated for specimens tested under control stress rotating bending at a stress ratio R=-1 and 250°C temperature. The fatigue endurance limit for both alloys reduced

A new cyclic cohesive zone model for fatigue damage analysis of welded vessel
A new cyclic cohesive zone fatigue damage model is proposed to address the fatigue problem spanning high and low cycle stages. The new damage model is integrated with the damage extrapolation technique to improve calculation efficiency.

A multiaxial incremental fatigue damage formulation using nested damage surfaces [PDF]
Multiaxial fatigue damage calculations under non-proportional variable amplitude loadings still remains a quite challenging task in practical applications, in part because most fatigue models require cycle identification and counting to single out ...

High temperature fatigue characteristics of P/M and hot-forged W-Re and TZM for X-ray target of CT scanner [PDF]
The fatigue strengths at 1000 °C of layered W-Re/TZM, bulk W-Re and bulk TZM for x-ray target materials were successfully evaluated under load-controlled four-point bending by introducing a fatigue failure criterion as twotimes increase of initial ...
