Study on development mechanism and variability of strike-slip fault-controlled reservoirs regulated by multi-stage structural stress: a case study of the Shunbei area, Tarim Basin

open access: yesShiyou shiyan dizhi
The Shunbei oil-and-gas field in the Tarim Basin features a typical strike-slip fault-controlled fractured-vuggy reservoir. The formation of these reservoirs is primarily influenced by fracturing related to structural stress during periods of fault ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Growth of South Rough Ridge, Central Otago, New Zealand: using in situ cosmogenic isotopes and geomorphology to study an active, blind reverse fault

open access: yes
In situ cosmogenic 10Be and 26Al measurements on sedimentary quartzites, together with analysis of abandoned river terraces, can be used to show how drainage responded to the lateral propagation of a late Quaternary anticline forming above a blind ...

New insights into the evolution and formation mechanism of SB5 fault: a case study from the Fuman Oilfield, Tarim basin, NW China

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
The Shunbei 5 (SB5) strike-slip fault, situated in the central Tarim basin, is distinguished by its considerable length, significant variations in planar orientation, and intricate multi-stage tectonic evolution.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Tectonic geomorphological evidence of late Quaternary segmented activity along the northern margin fault of Lajishan

open access: yesDizhi lixue xuebao
Objective  The Lajishan–Jishishan orogenic belt represents a significant arc-shaped tectonic zone formed by northeastward compressional expansion along the northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, jointly controlled by two compressional thrust fault ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Bayesian Diagnosability and Active Fault Identification

open access: yes2025 IEEE 64th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC)
We study fault identification in discrete-time nonlinear systems subject to additive Gaussian white noise. We introduce a Bayesian framework that explicitly accounts for unmodeled faults under reasonable assumptions. Our approach hinges on a new quantitative diagnosability definition, revealing when passive fault identification (FID) is fundamentally ...
