Adaptive Fault Detection and Diagnosis of RAM Interconnects

Journal of Electronic Testing, 1999
We give three new algorithms to compute tests for faults in the interconnects of random access memories (RAM) using only read and write operations. Diagnosis of address line faults is the most difficult step. Our Adaptive Diagnosis Algorithm (ADA) considers each address line separately.

Terminology in fault detection and diagnosis

2011
The following definitions are the result of a coordinated action within the IFAC Technical Committee SAFEPROCESS, published in Isermann and Balle (1997). Some basic definitions can also be found in IFIP (1983), Omdahl (1988) and in German standards like DIN and VDI/VDE-Richtlinien, see references at the end of this section and Isermann (2006).

Detection and Diagnosis of Single Faults in Quantum Circuits

IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems, 2018
Detection and isolation of faults is a crucial step in the physical realization of quantum circuits. Even though quantum gates and circuits compute reversible functions, the standard techniques of automatic test pattern generation (ATPG) for classical reversible circuits are not directly applicable to quantum circuits. For faulty quantum circuits under

Tools for fault detection and diagnosis

2008
Bioprocesses play an important role in food processing, the pharmaceutical industry and in environmental management. Their underlying principles are based on inputs from chemical engineering, molecular biology, molecular genetics, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and other engineering disciplines.

An OOM-KBES approach for fault detection and diagnosis

1998
This paper presents an integrated approach to the intelligent building research: using both the object-oriented modeling (OOM) and knowledge-based expert-system (KBES) methodologies and technologies for fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) of building HVAC systems.

Fault Detection and Diagnosis for Aeronautic and Aerospace Missions

2010
The term Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) is a development of the term Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI). Generally speaking, FDD goes slightly further than FDI by including the possibility of estimating the effect of the fault and/or diagnosing the effect or severity of the fault.
