The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Prediction of zero crossing point of fault current based on Bayesian estimation
Breaking capacity of circuit breakers can no longer meet the continuous rising demand of fault current in present new power systems. The phrase-controlled fault interruption technology based on zero crossing point prediction is an important solution ...

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

A New Method for Predicting the Monthly Fault Number of Watt-hour Meters Based on Time Series
The existing watt-hour meter fault prediction models in the State Grid information system are relatively simple and insufficient, and there is no specific model for predicting the monthly fault number of watt-hour meters.

Distributed fault‐tolerant model predictive control for intermittent faults
Intermittent fault is a special kind of fault form, which often occurs in industry processes but has been less studied. This study focuses on the distributed fault‐tolerant model predictive control (DFTMPC) problem for an intermittent fault in actuators or sensors. A novel state observer and DFTMPC controller integral framework are presented.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

On the earthquake predictability of fault interaction models [PDF]
AbstractSpace‐time clustering is the most striking departure of large earthquakes occurrence process from randomness. These clusters are usually described ex‐post by a physics‐based model in which earthquakes are triggered by Coulomb stress changes induced by other surrounding earthquakes. Notwithstanding the popularity of this kind of modeling, its ex‐

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
