A low-cost processing element recovery mechanism for fault tolerant Networks-on-Chip

2011 NORCHIP, 2011
A fault in one component of Networks-on-Chip (NoC) based system makes the fault-free connected units out of use and this in turn leads to considerable performance degradation. Many fault tolerant architectures and routing algorithms have already been proposed for NoC but the utilization of resources, affected indirectly by faults is yet to be addressed.

Towards a state synchronization methodology for recovery process after partial reconfiguration of fault tolerant systems

2014 9th International Conference on Computer Engineering & Systems (ICCES), 2014
Modern fault tolerant systems implemented into FPGAs integrate very often hardware redundancy together with fault tolerant approaches based on active fault recovery and the system reconfiguration. Space and safety-critical applications are examples of systems where the principles of fault tolerance and recovery techniques have increasing importance ...

Development and Application of Response Curve Library for Asymmetric Fault Recovery Process of Intermittent Power Generation Equipment

2020 12th IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference (APPEEC), 2020
Facing the challenges of global energy resources, environmental pollution and so on, Large-scale development and utilization of clean energy is imperative. Clean energy has a strong intermittent characteristics, The simulation analysis of the faults and the recovery process of this kind of equipment also need to be carried out in large numbers.

Fault diagnosis and recovery in MEMS inertial navigation system using information filters and Gaussian processes

22nd Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, 2014
An integrated navigation system (INS) on a vehicle platform such as a quadrotor UAV is an example of a multisensor system, wherein data streams coming from different sensors are combined to bring about improved situational awareness. This paper examines the implementation of two related approaches to distributed estimation and fault diagnosis in a ...

Operators' Monitoring Patterns and Fault Recovery in the Supervisory Control of a Semi-Automatic Process

Proceedings of the Human Factors Society Annual Meeting, 1992
Although technological innovations have changed the role of operators from active participants to supervisors of semiautomatic processes, an understanding of the cognitive demands of supervisory control has not kept pace. In particular, little is known about when, and how well, operators might intervene and switch control from automatic to manual ...

Analysis of the Influence of Voltage Recovery Process on Line Selection Device When Single-phase Grounding Fault Is Removed

2020 IEEE Sustainable Power and Energy Conference (iSPEC), 2020
The behavior of line protection device with line selection function after single-phase grounding fault occurred in non-effectively grounded system is analyzed. After the fault line was selected and tripped, due to the long attenuation time of zero sequence voltage, the device misjudged that the fault was not removed, and wrongly reclosed the fault line,

A Battery Energy Storage Based Methodology to Accelerate Post-Fault Voltage and Frequency Recovery Process in Microgrid

2018 IEEE International WIE Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE), 2018
Due to high penetration of renewable energy into the electrical power system in recent years it has become a challenge to make the smart grid robust in terms of voltage deviation and frequency fluctuation. To mitigate these issues, proper selection of energy storage system (ESS) is becoming an essential part of future grid design.

Analysis of Fault Recovery Process in Distribution Networks with the Integration of Soft Open Point

After a fault occurs in the distribution network, the real-time balance between power supply and load demand must be met. Load can be restored through upper sources and the nearby power supply of distributed generators. Therefore, it is necessary to construct the power transmission path between each node, namely transmission matrix.
