Addressing Bottlenecks to Achieve High‐Energy Sodium‐Ion Cells Using Tin Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 17, 6 May 2026.
The challenges in coupling high voltage cathode with Sn‐alloying anode or in anode‐free cell, using glyme based electrolytes to realize high energy Na‐ion cells are reported. Surface protection strategy such as SnO coating on Sn or trapping the parasitic species from poisoning the anode, helps improving the cyclability, with ∼100% capacity retention ...

Primary Cardiac Lymphoma: A Diagnostically Challenging Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This case highlights the diagnostic difficulties of PCL, including non‐specific symptoms, imaging mimics, and the critical role of histopathological confirmation despite technical and clinical challenges. Early multidisciplinary evaluation is essential to improve outcomes in this aggressive disease.

Interaction and Joint Effects of Inflammation and Triglyceride–Glucose (TyG) Index on Hyperuricemia Risk and the Mediating Role of TyG: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Among 5307 southern Chinese adults, higher TyG index and mINFLA score were associated with increased HUA risk and serum UA levels (p trend < 0.001). A significant interaction was observed between these two indicators. Notably, the TyG index mediated 15.4% of the mINFLA‐HUA association and 14.5% of the mINFLA‐UA association.

The Effect of Integrated Lifestyle Intervention Incorporating Calorie‐Carbohydrate Restriction With or Without Time‐Restricted Feeding for Remission of Type 2 Diabetes (DIREM): A Single Blind Randomised Controlled Trial

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Diabetes remission is possible through weight loss. Behavioural lifestyle program is effective to achieve diabetes remission. ABSTRACT Aims We conducted the diet and diabetes remission (DIREM) study to assess whether an integrated lifestyle intervention would lead to achieving remission in type 2 diabetes.

Hypoglycaemia Risk Prediction Models for Type 2 Diabetes: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
This systematic review and meta‐analysis evaluated existing hypoglycaemia risk prediction models for Type 2 diabetes, finding excellent pooled discrimination (AUC = 0.815) but widespread high methodological bias, highlighting the need for rigorous model optimisation and external validation.

The Impact of Macronutrient Ordering on Postprandial Glycaemic Control in Diabetes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Consuming carbohydrates last, after protein and vegetables, is associated with reduced postprandial glucose excursions in individuals with diabetes. This systematic review of six studies suggests macronutrient ordering may be a simple, effective strategy to improve glycaemic control.

Poor Glycemic Control in East Africa: Prevalence, Risk Factors and Public Health Implications in Diabetes Management

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
In East Africa, poor glycaemic control is common (about 60%–85%), usually defined by HbA1c ≥ 7% (or > 7.5%) and sometimes fasting glucose. Older age, longer duration, comorbidities and barriers to adherence and access drive the burden—supporting tiered, access‐focused interventions.
