Building capacity in imaging data management
Abstract Effective management of imaging data is critical to ensuring reproducibility, accessibility, and long‐term value of image‐based biological research. However, good data management remains a major challenge across imaging facilities, with lack of standardised practices and limited training opportunities.

This study shows that stem‐like cells isolated from breast cancer brain metastases drive the spread and growth of tumors in the brain. Among them, a highly adhesive subgroup initiates metastasis and resists many drugs. By closely reflecting patient tumors, these models help identify new targets and improve the development of effective treatments ...

Novel sensors that can be made cheaply (1) are deployed in multiple pots (2). These have either nutrient‐poor soil with a biodiverse community or arable soil with wheat plants which are subjected to droughts and flood stresses (2). We show the sensors can track decomposition through time at high temporal resolution while and after the pots are stressed,

Mineral and organic landslides from the BGS landslide database were each clustered into three distinct groups using landslide‐slope angle, rainfall on the day of the landslide, cumulative rainfall and soil texture. Differences between organic and mineral landslides as well as between landslide clusters were interpreted from a mechanistic viewpoint ...

Distributed Bragg Reflector Based on Plasmonic Ag: Plasma Polymer Nanocomposites
This paper presents a comprehensive approach for the optical design and validation of silver nanocomposite‐based Distributed Bragg Reflectors (DBRs). It describes deriving material properties (n, k) and using them to predict the performance of the deposited optical stack, as well as to characterize imperfections in the DBR deposition, or even to ...
