Genetic Characteristics and Research Progress of Feline Coronavirus

open access: yesShiyan dongwu yu bijiao yixue
Feline coronavirus (FCoV) is classified into two biotypes: feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV) and feline enteric coronavirus (FECV). FIPV and FECV might evolve and mutate via genetic recombination and mutation, leading to novel subtypes and ...

Reverse Genetics for Type I Feline Coronavirus Field Isolate To Study the Molecular Pathogenesis of Feline Infectious Peritonitis

open access: yesmBio, 2018
Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP), one of the most important lethal infections of cats, is caused by feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV), the high-virulence biotype of feline coronaviruses (FCoVs).

Morphology of Carbides Crystallizing in Fe-C-V and Fe-C-V-Si Alloys

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2014
Fe-C-V alloys with high vanadium content are included in the family of white cast irons, because all carbon present in this material is bound into vanadium carbides.

Crystallization of Feline Coronavirus Mpro With GC376 Reveals Mechanism of Inhibition

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2022
Coronaviruses infect a variety of hosts in the animal kingdom, and while each virus is taxonomically different, they all infect their host via the same mechanism.

Effect of Microstructure of Fe-C-V Alloys on Selected Functional Properties

open access: yesArchives of Foundry Engineering, 2014
The cast alloys crystallizing in Fe-C-V system are classified as white cast iron, because all the carbon is bound in vanadium carbides. High vanadium cast iron has a very high abrasion resistance due to hard VC vanadium carbides.

Segmental fECV measurement using PCD-CT as an early predictor of liver function decline in chronic liver disease

open access: yesAbdominal Radiology
Abstract Purpose The aim of this study was to investigate the utility of segmental hepatic extracellular volume fractions (fECV) calculated using a photon-counting detector CT (PCD-CT) for predicting liver function decline, as reflected by the modified albumin-bilirubin (mALBI) grade in chronic

Sensitivity and specificity of a real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction detecting feline coronavirus mutations in effusion and serum/plasma of cats to diagnose feline infectious peritonitis

open access: yesBMC Veterinary Research, 2017
Background Feline coronavirus (FCoV) exists as two pathotypes, and FCoV spike gene mutations are considered responsible for the pathotypic switch in feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) pathogenesis.

A pre- and during Pandemic Survey of Sars-Cov-2 Infection in Stray Colony and Shelter Cats from a High Endemic Area of Northern Italy

open access: yesViruses, 2021
Cats are susceptible to infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Whilst a number of studies have been performed worldwide on owned cats, limited data are available on stray, colony or shelter cats. We investigated SARS-
