Early Gestation Feeding Method Improves Reproductive Performance of Sow

open access: yesTropical Animal Science Journal
The relationship between feed intake during early gestation and sows’ reproductive performance is controversial. The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies during early gestation on reproductive ...

Enhanced catch-up growth after a challenge in animals on organic feed [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A feeding experiment was performed in two generations of three groups of chickens with different immune responsiveness. All groups were fed identically composed feeds from either organic or conventional production.

Next‐Generation Bio‐Reducible Lipids Enable Enhanced Vaccine Efficacy in Malaria and Primate Models

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Structure–activity relationship (SAR) optimization of bio‐reducible ionizable lipids enables the development of highly effective lipid nanoparticle (LNP) mRNA vaccines. Lead LNPs show superior tolerability and antibody responses in rodents and primates, outperforming approved COVID‐19 vaccine lipids.

Soybean molasses replacing cracked corn grain improves intake stability in feedlot lambs

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Animal Sciences
In this study, we assessed the effects of replacing cracked corn grain with soybean molasses (SM) on the feed intake and ingestive behavior of 30 uncastrated lambs, Santa Inês × Dorper crossbreed, finished in feedlot. The treatments were 0 g kg-1 DM SM (

Removal of Steroid Hormone Micropollutants by an Electrochemical Carbon Nanotube Membrane Flow‐Through Reactor: Role of Concentration and Degradation Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A flow‐through electrochemical membrane reactor equipped with a carbon nanotube membrane eliminates the mass transfer limitation, achieving removals >97.5% for steroid hormone (SH) micropollutants through electrochemical adsorption and degradation, over a broad initial concentration varying from 50 to 106 ng L−1.

Hay production in North Europa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Hay feeding might have some advantaged in relation to herd health and reduces the risk for contamination of the milk with spores. Hay production compared to silage is more resource intensive – like use of energy for drying.

Higher‐Order Temporal Dynamics in Complementary Charge Trap Memristor for High‐Dimensional Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A complementary charge‐trap memristor (CoCTM) featuring a unique current transient with tunable overshoot‐relaxation dynamics is introduced for high‐resolution reservoir computing. By leveraging higher‐order temporal dynamics from engineered trapping layers, the device generates multiple output states from a single input, forming rich, high‐dimensional
