Regular linear systems with feedback

Mathematics of Control, Signals, and Systems, 1994
For an LTI state-space model \((A, B, C, D)\) with a static relationship \((D)\) between input and output there are some well-known restrictions about the admissibility of the output feedback law. The aim of this paper is to extend the above elementary results to infinite-dimensional linear systems.

Linear Dependencies in Linear Feedback Shift Registers

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1986
Linear feedback shift registers have been proposed to generate test patterns for the self-test of logic networks. The probability of linear dependence among k bit positions of a subset of k bits in a maximum length shift register sequence is an outstanding problem. In this correspondence, we derive a formula for the calculation of the probability.

A neural network controller for feedback linearization

Proceedings of 1994 33rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
For a class of continuous-time nonlinear systems, a neural network-based controller which feedback linearizes the system is presented. For an unknown, state-feedback linearizable system, the controller achieves tracking performance and the semi-globally uniformly ultimately boundedness of the closed-loop signals is shown in the sense of Lyaponov ...

Feedback Control for Linear Chaotic Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992
Abstract We study in a dynamical systems context the feedback stabilization problem for linear non-autonomous control processes with bounded measurable coefficients. we are led via standard methods to study the linear regulator problem, which we do by considering the spectral theory of linear Hamiltonian systems.

FEEDBACK CONTROL OF LINEAR DIFFUSION PROCESSES

International Journal of Control, 1978
We consider the class of diffusion processes described by the generalized heat equation and obtain a practical feedback controller for N system modes. The remaining process modes are effected by the controller and this control spillover is shown to reduce the desired system response time by a predictable amount.

Feedbacks for Nonautonomous Regular Linear Systems

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2002
The author introduces nonautonomous well-posed and absolutely regular linear systems as quadruples consisting of an evolution family and output, input and input-output maps subject to natural hypotheses. The main result proves the existence of an absolutely regular closed-loop system for a given absolutely regular nonautonomous system with admissible ...
