Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Rhythmic transcription of Bmal1 stabilizes the circadian timekeeping system in mammals
The mammalian circadian clock is composed of clock genes forming transcriptional feedback loops. Here, the authors identify a key role of the secondary feedback loop that is interlocked with the core loop to establish a perturbation-resilient clock ...

This article highlights about young engineers who want early performance feedback on how they are doing their jobs. One difference is that younger engineers believe the feedback should stream to them the same way other digitized information does: instantly and often.

Research on Vibration Suppression Method Based on Double Loop Position Feedback Control
Aiming at the problem that the position control accuracy of the traditional semi-closed-loop control and the vibration caused by the nonlinear characteristics of the system are easily affected by the full closed-loop control, a double-loop position ...

Learning through feedback loop metaphors [PDF]
The metaphor of a feedback loop underpinned a significant curriculum change in a first year teacher-education unit. Assessment for Learning (AfL) practices such as discussing examples of previous student work and giving peer feedback were embedded within

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an
