Stabilizing Feedback Controls for Quantum Systems [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2007
No quantum measurement can give full information on the state of a quantum system; hence any quantum feedback control problem is neccessarily one with partial observations, and can generally be converted into a completely observed control problem for an appropriate quantum filter as in classical stochastic control theory.

On the Feedback Stabilization of Boussinesq Equations

open access: yesAnnals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University - Mathematics, 2011
On the Feedback Stabilization of Boussinesq EquationsThis paper provides feedback stabilization results, preserving the invariance of a given convex set, for the Boussinesq system, in 2D and 3D. The proofs use an existence theorem for weak solutions.

A correction note on "Output feedback stabilization"

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1994
In a previous paper by the authors (see ibid., vol. 35, no.8, p.951-4, 1990), necessary and sufficient Lyapunov-like conditions for output feedback stabilisation of nonlinear systems were derived. In this paper the authors point out an omission. >

Feedback Stability of Negative Imaginary Systems [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2017
This paper extends the robust feedback stability theorem of negative imaginary systems by removing restrictive assumptions on the instantaneous gains of the systems that were imposed in the earlier literature, and it further generalises this robust analysis result into the case that allows negative imaginary systems to have poles at the origin.

Transcripts enriched in codons that trigger P‐site tRNA‐mediated mRNA decay possess stable mRNA

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
PTMD codons were first described by Mendel et al. as mediators of an mRNA decay pathway dependent on the human protein CNOT3, homologous to yeast Not5. Our findings confirm that PTMD codons destabilize transcripts; however, unlike in yeast, the human pathway specifically targets and slightly destabilizes primarily stable mRNAs.

Bifurcation analysis of a semiconductor laser with filtered optical feedback

open access: yes, 2006
We study the dynamics and bifurcations of a semiconductor laser with delayed filtered feedback, where a part of the output of the laser re-enters after spectral filtering.

Eigenstructure Assignment by State-derivative and Partial Output-derivative Feedback for Linear Time-invariant Control Systems

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2004
This paper introduces a parametric approach for solving the problem of eigenstructure assignment via state-derivative feedback for linear control time-invariant systems. This problem is always solvable for any controllable systems if the open-loop system

Output-Feedback and Inverse Optimal Control of a Class of Stochastic Nonlinear Systems with More General Growth Conditions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
This paper investigates the problem of output-feedback stabilization for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems in which the nonlinear terms depend on unmeasurable states besides measurable output.
