Impacts of the representation of mutual coupling between feeders in distribution systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, 2019
Abstract The mutual coupling between parallel feeders affects the power flow solution for distribution systems. By analyzing these effects, the unbalanced operation of distribution systems is better understood and the analyses are useful for distribution planning.

CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A DEVICE FOR THE DECOMMISSIONING OF THE HORIZONTAL FUEL CHANNELS IN THE CANDU 6 NUCLEAR REACTOR PART 2 - FUEL CHANNEL PRESENTATION [PDF]

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate, 2014
As many nuclear power plants are reaching their end of lifecycle, the decommissioning of these installations has become one of the 21st century’s great challenges. Each project may be managed differently, depending on the country, development policies,

An Absorption of Coupled Vibration for The Colony Type Feeder with Pair Resonator

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 2005
This paper deals with the pair resonator generates an elliptic vibration for colony type feeder. The resonator consists of loop and leg part and vibrates respectively. Each part was actuated by bimorph type piezoelectric member. The resonator can generate elliptic motion at the center point of the upper member by the deflection of loop part and the ...

Full-Observable Three-Phase State Estimation Algorithm Applied to Electric Distribution Grids

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
This paper proposes the development of a three-phase state estimation algorithm, which ensures complete observability for the electric network and a low investment cost for application in typical electric power distribution systems, which usually exhibit

Identification and Spatiotemporal Analysis of Bikesharing-Metro Integration Cycling

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2023
An essential function of dockless bikesharing (DBs) is to serve as a feeder mode to the metro. Optimizing the integration between DBs and the metro is of great significance for improving metro travel efficiency.

Cluster Partition-Based Voltage Control Combined Day-Ahead Scheduling and Real-Time Control for Distribution Networks

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Considering the possible overvoltage caused by high-penetration photovoltaics (PVs) connected to the distribution networks (DNs), a cluster partition-based voltage control combined day-ahead scheduling and real-time control for distribution networks is ...

Marine benthic faunal successional stages and related sedimentary activity

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2001
This paper is a brief review of successional stages and activity of benthic soft-bottom communities. Benthic communities was first described by Petersen in the 1910s and further developed by Molander, Thorson and Margalef.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...
