Predictive feedforward control
2016 12th IEEE International Conference on Control and Automation (ICCA), 2016Measurable but controllable disturbances are common in industry, which drive systems away from their references and take time for feedback control to reject them, especially when the systems present input-output delays due to mechanical properties. In this paper, a novel feedforward control based on disturbance prediction is proposed.

Feedforward mapping for engine control [PDF]
Feedforward control is widely used in electronic control units of internal combustion engines besides feedback controls. However, almost all feedforward control values are used in table form, also called maps, having engine speed and engine torque in their axes. Table approach limits all interactions in two input dimensions.

Feedforward control in the presence of uncertainty
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 1988In this paper, a new systematic approach to the design of feedforward-feedback (FF-FB) control systems is proposed, applicable in cases where bounds on plant and disturbance uncertainties are known. The robust performance of this control scheme is compared with that of two alternative feedback designs, on the basis of a test case in which the ...

Feedforward control of flexible manipulators
Proceedings of the IEEE 1991 National Aerospace and Electronics Conference NAECON 1991, 2002A method to control the tip position of single-link flexible manipulators is presented. The method is based on the dynamic model inversion technique. The feedforward controller obtained as a result of this inversion drives the arm along a commanded trajectory without any oscillation of the tip.

Feedback-feedforward control of a sewer
2001 European Control Conference (ECC), 2001This paper deals with the design of a feedback-feedforward controller for a sewer. The objective is to reduce the concentration of macromolecules (typically proteins, lipids and polysaccharides) entering the wastewater plant via the addition of a consortium of enzymes and bacteria in the sewer connecting houses to the plant.

Fuzzy feedforward and composite control
Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 1986The concept of fuzzy feedforward and composite control of complex, ill-defined, non-deterministic processes is offered. Fuzzy relational model of process suitable for feedforward control is developed and, using this model, the algorithms of the fuzzy feedforward and composite controls are derived.

Some new results in learning feedforward control are presented in this paper. The proposed procedures are applicable to processes with or without feedback control. Under the ideal situation, this discrete-time learning control (LC) scheme can perfect the task with one repeat. Convergence analyses are also included for noisy and imprecise learning.

Feedforward control of multistability in memristor circuits
2021 28th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems (ICECS), 2021Multistability, i.e., the coexistence of a large variety of different attractors, is one of the key properties that have made memristor circuits becoming central for the development of new computing paradigms based on analog computation principles. Within this con, one important problem to be investigated is how to steer the circuit dynamics from one ...
