Research Review on Inhibitors of Lumpy Skin Disease Virus: From Biological Characteristics, Drug Repurposing, to Computer‐Aided Drug Design

open access: yesInternational Journal of Microbiology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
This review summarizes the research progress on inhibitors of lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV), focusing on its biological characteristics and key proteins involved in the viral replication cycle. It compiles various inhibitors (direct‐acting poxvirus inhibitors and host‐directed poxvirus inhibitors) against poxviruses, their mechanisms of action, and ...

Development and Application of a Blocking ELISA for the Detection of Feline Calicivirus Antibodies Based on Monoclonal Antibodies Against VP1 Protein

open access: yesTransboundary and Emerging Diseases, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this study, nine monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against the FCV VP1 protein were successfully prepared using traditional hybridoma technology, and all of them could simultaneously recognize linear and conformational epitopes. Their subtypes mainly included IgG1/kappa, IgG2a/kappa, IgG1/lambda, IgG2b/kappa, IgG2b/lambda, and IgM/kappa. Based on the mAb

Intracellular localization and epitope mapping of feline herpesvirus type 1 glycoproteins.

open access: yesThe Japanese Journal of Veterinary Science, 1990
Monoclonal antibodies (MoAbs) were used to characterize feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1) glycoproteins (gp). Intracellular localization and transport of these proteins as revealed by a sequential indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) on fixed infected cells showed slight differences between FHV-1 gp143/108 and gp113.

Homologous and Heterologous Antibody Responses of Mice Immunized with Purified Feline Herpesvirus Type 1 and Canine Herpesvirus Glycoproteins.

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Medical Science, 1991
The three glycoproteins each of feline herpesvirus type 1 (FHV-1) and canine herpesvirus (CHV) were purified by affinity chromatography using glycoprotein-specific monoclonal antibodies and used individually or in combination in immunizing mice to determine their relative immunogenicity.

Inhibition of equine arteritis virus by an antimicrobial peptide produced by Bacillus sp. P34

open access: yesArquivo Brasileiro de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia
P34 is an antimicrobial peptide produced by Bacillus sp. P34, isolated from the intestinal contents of a fish from the Amazon basin. This peptide showed antibacterial properties against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and was characterized as a ...
