Orthopedic Clinics of North America, 1974Summary With adequate reduction, impaction, and accurate internal fixation with newer devices, the intracapsular fracture of the femoral neck can be expected to heal in at least 90 per cent of the patients. A lower incidence of recognizable aseptic necrosis has been reported under these circumstances.
