Ligand Assisted Epitaxial Growth of CsPbBr3 Microcrystal Resonators With Record ‐Low Lasing Thresholds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐based ligand‐assisted epitaxial growth (LAEG) yields high‐quality CsPbBr3 microcrystals on different substrates with superior morphology, passivated surfaces, and high photoluminescence quantum yield. These robust micro‐resonators achieve record‐low room‐temperature lasing thresholds of 7.2 kW·cm−2 and maintain operational stability up to 90 ...

When Poor Exciton Dissociation Limits Photocurrents in Organic Solar Cells: Why Low Offset Non‐Fullerene Acceptor Blends Can't Be Efficient

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

Femtosecond Laser Processing of Soft Materials.

open access: yesThe Review of Laser Engineering, 2001
Ablation of polymer films such as polyimide, polycarbonate, polyethylenterephthalate, polytetrafluoroethylene and polymethylmethacrylate were investigated with a Ti: sapphire laser system (150 fs, 800 nm). The single pulse threshold increased from 1.0 Jcm-2 of polyimide to 2.6 Jcm-2 of polymethylmethacrylate.
