Degradation of Diallyl Phthalate (DAP) by Fenton Oxidation: Mechanistic and Kinetic Studies
In this work, the degradation and mineralization of Diallyl Phthalate (DAP) in water by Fenton oxidation was investigated. The effects of different experimental parameters including the initial pH, the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) dose, the catalyst (Fe2 ...

Primary and secondary oxidative stress in Bacillus [PDF]
Coping with oxidative stress originating from oxidizing compounds or reactive oxygen species (ROS), associated with the exposure to agents that cause environmental stresses, is one of the prerequisites for an aerobic lifestyle of Bacillus spp. such as B.

Ageing of polysulfone membranes in contact with bleach solution: Role of radical oxidation and of some dissolved metal ions [PDF]
In water production plants using membrane processes, contact with chemicals such as chlorine plays an important role in membrane ageing. This experimental study was aimed at gaining a better understanding of the effect of hypochlorite cleaning solutions ...

Modeling electrodialysis and a photochemical process for their integration in saline wastewater treatment. [PDF]
Oxidation processes can be used to treat industrial wastewater containing non-biodegradable organic compounds. However, the presence of dissolved salts may inhibit or retard the treatment process. In this study, wastewater desalination by electrodialysis

Photo-Fenton reaction using a nanocomposite
A laponite RD clay-based Fe nanocomposite (Fe-Lap-RD) has been synthesized by the so-called pillaring technique. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results reveal that the Fe-Lap-RD mainly consists of Fe2O3 (maghemite) crystallites and Fe2SiO10(OH)2 (iron silicate hydroxide) crystallites, respectively.
