This study examined bacterial contamination on surfaces within a veterinary hospital in Madrid, isolating 109 bacterial strains, predominantly Enterobacteriaceae and non‐fermenting Gram‐negative bacilli. The highest contamination was found in the equine area, with strains showing resistance to multiple antibiotics.

Abstract Galectins are among organisms' most abundantly expressed lectins (carbohydrate‐binding proteins) that specifically bind β‐galactosides.
