Counterion‐Controlled Photocatalytic Doping of Organic Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 25, 4 May 2026.
Counterion size is shown to actively control photocatalytic doping in organic semiconductors. Small anions suppress aggregation of acridinium photocatalysts, enhance electron transfer, and dramatically increase doping efficiency. This simple strategy enables conductivities up to 2000 S cm−1 in benchmark polymers, revealing counterions as a powerful yet

Peripherally Fluorinated Tetraphenylethene: New Electron Extraction Interlayers for n‐i‐p Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 18, 13 May 2026.
Fluorinated tetraphenylethene (TPE) derivatives were developed as interfacial layers for perovskite solar cells. The optimized TFP‐TPE enhances interfacial compatibility, suppresses molecular aggregation, and improves charge extraction. Devices incorporating TFP‐TPE achieved a record efficiency of 25.29% and outstanding stability under humidity and ...

Cucurbit[7]uril‐Based Plug‐and‐Play Platform on Bacterial Surfaces for Constructing Functional Supramolecular Biohybrids

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study establishes a supramolecular “plug‐and‐play” platform on bacterial surfaces via cucurbit[7]uril host–guest chemistry. The platform successfully generates functional biohybrids for fluorescence imaging, drug delivery, and in vivo bioorthogonal catalysis, demonstrating its potential for functional living materials with broad biomedical ...
