Optimal Local Transformations of Flip and Exchange Symmetric Entangled States
Local quantum operations relating multiqubit flip (0-1) and exchange symmetric (FES) states, with the maximum possible probability of success, have been determined by assuming that the states are converted via one-shot FES transformations.

Objectives This study aimed to describe real‐world trends in preconception and prenatal use of antirheumatic drugs among pregnant individuals with rheumatic diseases in Ontario, Canada. Methods We conducted a time‐series analysis using repeated cross‐sectional data to examine annual patterns of disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) use among ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

We consider the Abelian sandpile model (ASM) on the large square lattice with a single dissipative site (sink). Particles are added by one per unit time at random sites and the resulting density of particles is calculated as a function of time.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Upper-limb exercise in tetraplegia using functional electrical stimulation [PDF]
Cervical spinal cord injury can result in dysfunction in both the lower and upper limbs (tetraplegia), andmay be accompanied by a range of secondary complications. The degree of upper-limb dysfunctiondepends upon the level and completeness of the lesion;

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...
