Ultra‐Fine 3D Bioprinting of Dynamic Hyaluronic Acid Hydrogel for in Vitro Modeling
3D bioprinting merges tissue engineering and additive manufacturing to create biological structures. A bioink is developed by modifying hyaluronic acid, a natural extracellular matrix polymer, with cysteine. Potassium iodide is later added to tune gelation kinetics, enabling fine printing with a 32G needle.

Senp1 drives hypoxia-induced polycythemia via GATA1 and Bcl-xL in subjects with Monge's disease. [PDF]
In this study, because excessive polycythemia is a predominant trait in some high-altitude dwellers (chronic mountain sickness [CMS] or Monge's disease) but not others living at the same altitude in the Andes, we took advantage of this human experiment ...

Placental Morphology of Pregnant Iraqi Women with Rheumatic Heart Disease [PDF]
Background: Placental morphology and cellular arrangement can be altered in maternal diseases. Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) is a chronic heart condition that can lead to death in pregnant women.

Herein, a glutathione‐responsive system (named THN) is prepared for X‐ray‐triggered sustained ROS generation for efficient antitumor immunotherapy. The double‐promoting ROS generation of THN induced massive immunogenic cancer cell death and polarized M2 macrophages into the M1 phenotype for enhanced antitumor immunotherapy.

Long-term culture captures injury-repair cycles of colonic stem cells [PDF]
The colonic epithelium can undergo multiple rounds of damage and repair, often in response to excessive inflammation. The responsive stem cell that mediates this process is unclear, in part because of a lack of in vitro models that recapitulate key ...

Prenatal iron-deficiency (ID) is known to alter fetal developmental trajectories, which predisposes the offspring to chronic disease in later life, although the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Here, we sought to determine whether varying degrees of

Engineering Bacterial Secretion Systems for Enhanced Tumor Imaging and Surgical Guidance
This study presents a novel contrast agent platform, Streptavidin Associated Salmonella (SAS), for fluorescence image guided surgery. SAS selectively colonizes tumors and secretes streptavidin, enabling precise delineation of invasive tumor margins with prolonged signal retention.

Distinct hypoxia-induced translational profiles of embryonic and adult-derived macrophages
Summary: Tissue resident macrophages are largely of embryonic (fetal liver) origin and long-lived, while bone marrow–derived macrophages (BMDM) are recruited following an acute perturbation, such as hypoxia in the setting of myocardial ischemia.
