Perbandingan Viabilitas Oosit Domba Pasca Vitrifikasi dengan Menggunakan Hemistraw dan Cryotop

open access: yesJurnal Agripet, 2017
ABSTRAK. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji efek vitrifikasi dengan menggunakan dua buah system carrier yang berbeda terhadap viabilitas oosit domba yang telah dimaturasi secara in vitro. Oosit dibagi menjadi dua kelompok perlakuan, yaitu (

Hydrostatic pressure activates HIF‐1α via β‐catenin to promote stemness in breast cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
To mimic the elevated intestinal fluid pressure in breast cancers, we loaded human breast cancer cells (MCF‐7, MDA‐MB‐453, and BT‐474) to 50 mmHg hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure exposure upregulated HIF‐1α and induced stemness in MCF‐7 and BT‐474 cells.

Applying of B-mode ultrasound for determining pregnancy by means of measurement of Placentomes Diameter and Fetal Bi-parietal diameter in dairy cows

open access: yesThe Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 2019
The objective of the current study was to estimate whether fetal age could be accurately estimated using trans-rectal and trans-abdominal ultrasonographic measurements for placentomes diameter and Bi-parietal diameter.

Aquaporin‐3 and aquaporin‐5 impact the development of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma spheroids

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the role of aquaporin‐3 (AQP3) and aquaporin‐5 (AQP5) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Both proteins are upregulated in PDAC and are associated with tumor progression and metastatic potential. Silencing AQP3 or AQP5 in PDAC spheroids results in decreased diameter, area, and overall growth, underscoring their key ...

Association of gestational age with the option of pregnancy termination for fetal abnormalities incompatible with neonatal survival

open access: yesEinstein (São Paulo)
Objective: To identify the profile of women seen in a Fetal Medicine unit, diagnosed with fetal abnormality incompatible with neonatal survival in their current pregnancy, and to check the association of gestational age upon diagnosis with the option of ...

Viability and Fetal Life in State Criminal Abortion Laws

open access: yesThe Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology (1973-), 1981
The District Court for the District of South Carolina struck down sections of the states criminal abortion statute 4 years ago in Floyd vs. Anders. On the ground that the state may only forbid abortions when the fetus is viable and may not arbitrarily pick a specific date for viability the court held that the proscription against abortion performed ...

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

Guidelines for Care of Fetal Infants at the Limit of Viability

open access: yesHanyang Medical Reviews, 2009
Viability of the fetal infant is its capability of living. It usually implies a fetus that has reached 500g in weight and 20 gestational weeks. Lower limit of viability is between 23 and 25 weeks’ gestation in developed countries at present. Trends toward intervention at an earlier gestational age may be continuing.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly
