EFSA Journal, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2025.Abstract
Following a request from the European Commission, EFSA was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the safety and efficacy of two tinctures obtained from the leaves of Salvia rosmarinus Spenn. (rosemary tinctures) when used as sensory additives.EFSA Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed (FEEDAP), Roberto Edoardo Villa, Giovanna Azimonti, Eleftherios Bonos, Henrik Christensen, Mojca Durjava, Birgit Dusemund, Ronette Gehring, Boet Glandorf, Maryline Kouba, Marta López‐Alonso, Francesca Marcon, Carlo Nebbia, Alena Pechová, Miguel Prieto‐Maradona, Ilen Röhe, Katerina Theodoridou, Maria de Lourdes Bastos, Emilio Benfenati, Paul Brantom, Andrew Chesson, Josef Schlatter, Johannes Westendorf, Paola Manini +23 morewiley +1 more sourceA Curved‐Bar Rack‐Bypass System With Innovative Foil Shaped Bars: Hydraulics, Operational Aspects, and Swimming Behavior of Downstream Moving Brown Trout
Water Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 9, September 2025.Abstract
Curved bar rack ‐ bypass systems (CBR‐BS) are a promising technology for diverting downstream moving fish away from hydropower intakes. A CBR functions as a mechanical behavioral barrier by creating high velocity and pressure gradients along its bars, guiding approaching fish that exhibit avoidance reactions towards the bypass.Fan Yang, Anita Moldenhauer‐Roth, Yannick Marschall, David F. EFSA Journal, Volume 23, Issue 8, August 2025.Abstract
The EFSA Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings (FAF) provides a scientific opinion on the safety of d‐α‐tocopheryl polyethylene glycol‐1000 succinate (Vitamin E TPGS) as a new food additive to be used in several food categories as emulsifier. In 2007, the EFSA AFC Panel assessed TPGS as a source of tocopherol intended to be used in foods for EFSA Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings (FAF), Laurence Castle, Monica Andreassen, Gabriele Aquilina, Maria Lourdes Bastos, Polly Boon, Biagio Fallico, Reginald FitzGerald, Maria Jose Frutos Fernandez, Bettina Grasl‐Kraupp, Ursula Gundert‐Remy, Rainer Gürtler, Eric Houdeau, Marcin Kurek, Henriqueta Louro, Patricia Morales, Sabina Passamonti, José Manuel Barat Baviera, Gisela Degen, David Gott, Jean‐Charles Leblanc, Peter Moldeus, Ine Waalkens‐Berendsen, Detlef Wölfle, Civitella Consuelo, Agnieszka Mech, Concepción Medrano‐Padial, Ana Maria Rincon, Camilla Smeraldi, Alexandra Tard, Laura Ruggeri +30 morewiley +1 more sourceNurse‐Related Complexity of Care Perceived by Critical Care Nurses: A Multicentre Qualitative Study
