Gain dynamics of clad-pumped Yb-fiber amplifier and intensity noise control.
Gain dynamics study provides an attractive method to understand the intensity noise behavior in fiber amplifiers. Here, the gain dynamics of a medium power (5 W) clad-pumped Yb-fiber amplifier is experimentally evaluated by measuring the frequency domain

High gain erbium-doped fiber amplifier for the investigation of nonlinear processes in fibers [PDF]
In this work we present a novel design of an optical amplifier with high gain elaborated from erbium-doped fiber (EDF). Its purpose is the amplification of low power pulses from laser diodes.

Enhancing Bubble Removal in Geometry‐Optimized Electrodes
3D‐printed lattice electrodes outperform stochastic foams in alkaline water electrolysis despite 20%–25% lower surface area. Straight flow channels generate Venturi‐like bubble entrainment, suppressing gas accumulation that renders foam interiors electrochemically inactive.

Generation of 180 W average green power from a frequency-doubled picosecond rod fiber amplifier.
We report on the generation of 180 W average green power from a frequency-doubled picosecond rod fiber amplifier. In an Yb-doped fiber master-oscillator-power-amplifier system, 2.3-ps 704 MHz pulses are first amplified in small-core fibers and then in ...

Fiber link stabilization with a multicore fiber amplifier
We study the use of separate cores of a multicore erbium-doped fiber amplifier (MC-EDFA) in a noise-canceled link for ultrastable optical frequency transfer. We demonstrate fractional frequency instability of 5×10 −19 at 1000 s averaging time for the stabilized MC-EDFA alone and 1.4×10

56W frequency doubled source at 530 nm pumped by a single-mode single-polarization picosecond Yb3+-doped fiber MOPA [PDF]
We report a frequency doubled green source at 530nm pumped based on an all-fiber, picosecond, single polarization Yb3+-doped fiber MOPA delivering 20ps pulses at user selectable repetition rates of up to 910MHz and an average output power in excess of ...
