Fiber Bragg gratings inscribed in nanobore fibers
Optics Letters, 2023The nanobore fiber (NBF) is a promising nanoscale optofluidic platform due to its long nanochannel and unique optical properties. However, the applications of NBF are only based on its original fiber geometry without extra functionalities so far, compared with various telecom fiber devices, which may limit its wide applications.

Comparative analysis of silica fiber Bragg grating and chalcogenide fiber Bragg grating
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021Abstract Sensing performance of silica fiber Bragg grating (FBG) and chalcogenide FBG are compared in presence of apodization functions. The Bessel and Gaussian apodization functions are chosen in this analysis. These fibers are compared on the basis of their sensitivity, detection accuracy, quality parameter and sidelobe suppression ability ...

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1997
Since the discovery of photosensitivity in optical fibers there has been great interest in the fabrication of Bragg gratings within the core of a fiber. The ability to inscribe intracore Bragg gratings in these photosensitive fibers has revolutionized the field of telecommunications and optical fiber based sensor technology.

Magnetically Tunable Fiber Bragg Gratings
Wavelength Division Multiplexing Components, 1999We believe we report the first demonstration of a broad-range (15.7 nm) tuning of fiber Bragg grating using fast, programmable, and latchable magnetic actuation. A key advantage is that the device requires no power except when shifting wavelengths.

Polymer micro-fiber Bragg grating
Optics Letters, 2013Polymer micro-fibers with inscribed Bragg gratings are reported in this Letter. Starting with a single-mode polymer optical fiber and implementing a two-stage tapering process, a 16 μm diameter micro-fiber is fabricated and a Bragg grating is inscribed in it that exhibits a peak reflected wavelength circa 1530 nm.

Periodic waves in fiber Bragg gratings
Physical Review E, 2008We construct two families of exact periodic solutions to the standard model of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) with Kerr nonlinearity. The solutions are named "sn" and "cn" waves, according to the elliptic functions used in their analytical representation. The sn wave exists only inside the FBG's spectral bandgap, while waves of the cn type may only exist at

Temperature characteristic of fiber Bragg grating
Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011The basic principle of temperature sensor based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is analyzed. A fiber Bragg grating temperature sensor is designed and produced. Using fiber Bragg grating as the sensor, fiber Bragg grating analyzer to demodulation the wavelength shift, the relationship between FBG wavelength shift and temperature is measured.
