Viktoriia Shtefan, Thorgund Nemec, Ute Hempel, Annett Gebert and coworkers demonstrate that anodic treatment of Ti–Cu‐based metallic glass in a nontoxic pyrophosphate electrolyte forms a protective bilayered Ti/Zr‐oxide film enriched with Cu nanocrystals.

Optical fiber mirror using cascaded second-order non-linearity
In recent years there has been a revival of interest in frequency conversion based on second-order nonlinearities. This interest has been primarily due to progress in the periodic poling of crystals [1] and silica glasses [2]. These new technologies have permitted efficient quasi-phase matched frequency conversion in both bulk and waveguide geometries.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Non-linearity Effect Analysis of Gaussian Pulse Propagation In Optical Fiber
In this research, numerical analysis of nonlinear pulse propagation is carried out. This is done mainly by solving the nonlinear Schrodinger equation using the split step algorithm. In a nonlinear media, dispersive effects exist simultaneously with nonlinear effects.

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.
