Purpose The study aimed to identify symptom‐based predictors of dry eye disease (DED) signs in the Sjögrens International Collaborative Clinical Alliance (SICCA) cohort. Methods Retrospective analysis examining 16 ocular symptoms (most graded 0‐4) and artificial tear (AT) use (graded 0‐3) as predictors of DED signs [abnormal ocular surface staining ...

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting

Twisting and annealing optical fiber for current sensors [PDF]
We demonstrate that twisting a fiber a few turns per meter before it is annealed largely eliminates the residual linear birefringence. This dramatically improves the yield of annealed coils used for current sensing and makes it possible to use fibers that previously had large residual linear birefringence.

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.
