Evaluation of Banana Pseudostem Fibres for Packaging Material Development

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science, Volume 39, Issue 1, Page 91-103, January 2026.
Composites were developed from banana pseudostem fibres, extracted from a thermomechanical method to produce pulp, which was subsequently hot‐pressed with gum arabic to form fibreboards intended as sustainable packaging material. ABSTRACT The present study investigated composites prepared from banana pseudostem fibres (BF) and gum arabic (GA), in ...

The Role of Susceptibility in the Association Between Exposures and Occupational Contact Dermatitis: A Scoping Review

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 94, Issue 1, Page 1-27, January 2026.
Substantial evidence links work‐related exposures to occupational contact dermatitis, but worker responses vary. A total of 44 individual susceptibility factors and 53 work‐related exposures were identified. The impact of non‐work‐related susceptibility factors remains unclear.

Production and Properties of Isocyanate-Bonded MDF Manufactured from Acacia Mangium [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Medium density fiberboards (MDF) were manufactured from fast-growing Acacia mangium wood. The boards were produced at two levels of density, 600 and 750 kg/m³. Isocyanate and urea- formaldehyde resin adhesives were used asbinders.
