Clarification of fibrin generation and degradation reaction processes of clot-fibrinolysis waveform in hemorrhagic disorders. [PDF]
Clot-fibrinolysis waveform analysis (CFWA) is an assay used to simultaneously evaluate coagulation and fibrinolysis reactions. Although the assay detected the reaction via transmittance changes, there was no evidence that the transmittance changes ...

THE MECHANISM OF CLOTS FORMATION IN BLOOD PLASMA UNDER THE ACTION OF CHITIN DERIVATIVES [PDF]
The aim of the research was to find out the clot formation by the action of chitin derivates. The biochemical and immunologic investigation methods such as obtaining of fibrinogen, chitosan derivates, electrophoresis in PAAG, Western blot analysis, ELISE,

Characterization of the Components and Functional Properties of a Plasma-Derived Fibrin Sealant
Background The activity and purity of Fibrin Sealant Grifols are described in this article. This fibrin sealant contains two components (fibrinogen and thrombin) that mimic the final stages of clotting. Fibrin sealants are primarily used as an adjunct to

Evaluation of Plasma Fibrinogen Degradation Products and Total Serum Protein Concentration in Oral Submucous Fibrosis [PDF]
Background: Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a potentially malignant disorder with a multifactorial etiology. Malnutrition is a major problem for the inhabitants of most countries where OSMF is prevalent.

Quantification of Plasma Fibrinogen Degradation Products in Areca Nut Chewers with and without Oral Submucous Fibrosis [PDF]
Introduction: Fibrinogen degradation products (FDPs) are the products that are released from fibrin/fibrinogen. Recently, it has been observed that these FDPs have been identified in the plasma of OSMF patients. Areca nut being the major aetiological

FIBRIN AND FIBRINOGEN DEGRADATION PRODUCTS IN MALIGNANCY [PDF]
Sixty four patients of cancer, comprising of 39 leukaemia, 8 lymphomas and 17 cases of solid tumours were included in this study. Quantitative estimation of FDP, fibrinogen and platelets were done in all. Elevated levels of FDP (≥ 10 µgm/mL) were found in 29 patients.

Fibrinolysis in Dogs with Intracavitary Effusion: A Review
Physiologic fibrinolysis is a localized process in which stable fibrin strands are broken down by plasmin in response to thrombosis. Plasmin activation can also take place separately from the coagulation process, resulting in pathologic fibrinolysis ...
