Specific antigen of tumor cell transformed by DNA extracted from SV-40 virus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
In the immunofluorescent study it has been revealed that rabbit sera immunized with transformed cells induced by SV-40 DNA, produce circulating antibody capable of re:lcting with intranuclear antigens synthesized by SV-40 complyte virus transforming ...

Oncogenic KRAS Rewires Stress Granule Dynamics: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Opportunities

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stress granules (SGs) are dynamic, membrane‐less structures that form in response to various cellular stresses, including metabolic, oxidative, and therapeutic challenges. They function as adaptive hubs and reorganize protein synthesis and signaling networks to help cells survive under stress. In cancer, these condensates are often hijacked to

Diagnostic and therapeutic approaches of para‐testicular SCRMS in an adolescent patient: A case report

open access: yesUroPrecision, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Para‐testicular rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a rare and aggressive malignancy primarily affecting children and adolescents, with peak incidence between ages 2 and 5 years. Of the histological variants of RMS, the spindle cell type of RMS is particularly uncommon, accounting for approximately 5% of cases.

The effects of a plant proteinase inhibitor from Enterolobium contortisiliquum on human tumor cell lines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Supplementary to the efficient inhibition of trypsin, chymotrypsin, plasma kallikrein, and plasmin already described by the EcTI inhibitor from Enterolobium contortisiliquum, it also blocks human neutrophil elastase (K(iapp)=4.3 nM) and prevents phorbol ...

Seminal Plasma Exosomal miRNA Profiling Reveals hsa‐miR‐7‐5p as a Key Regulator of Sperm Motility in Asthenozoospermia

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Asthenozoospermia is a significant contributing factor to male infertility. Accumulating evidence indicates that impaired sperm motility is closely linked to dysregulated microRNA expression during spermatogenesis. Seminal plasma exosomes are enriched with diverse microRNAs, which play pivotal roles in modulating sperm motility, the

Oncogenic R132 IDH1 Mutations Limit NADPH for De Novo Lipogenesis through (D)2-Hydroxyglutarate Production in Fibrosarcoma Sells. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Neomorphic mutations in NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH1 and IDH2) contribute to tumorigenesis in several cancers. Although significant research has focused on the hypermethylation phenotypes associated with (D)2-hydroxyglutarate (D2HG ...

Induction of IL‐9‐producing CD8+ T cells by ascochlorin derivatives

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
A newly synthesised ascochlorin derivative, N184, induces small amounts of IL‐9‐producing CD8+ T cells. N184 improved the survival of CD8+ T cells and enhanced their antitumour activity, partially in an IL‐9‐dependent manner. The antitumour effect was completely dependent on IFNγ secretion rather than the cytotoxic activity of CD8+ T cells.

Opioids in breast cancer: Between analgesia and modulation of tumour progression

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Preclinical investigations consistently demonstrate that activation of μ‐opioid receptors and δ‐opioid receptors promote proliferation, migration, angiogenesis, epithelial‐mesenchymal transition, acquisition of cancer stem cell phenotypes, and chemoresistance.

Novel drugs approved by the EMA, the FDA and the MHRA in 2025: A year in review

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract In the 2025 novel drug mini‐review, one can take a full measure of the ingenuity that underlies current drug design and development, despite the year's smaller harvest (46 novel drugs) compared to 2024 (53) and 2023 (70). 54% of the novel drugs are first‐in‐class (FIC).

A perspective on the impact of radiation therapy on the immune rheostat. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The advent and success of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in cancer treatment has broadened the spectrum of tumours that might be considered "immunogenic" and susceptible to immunotherapeutic (IT) intervention. Not all cancer types are sensitive, and
