Acanthospermum hispidum and Its Metabolite Stigmasterol Modulates Anti‐Inflammatory Antagonism of COX‐1 and TGF‐β

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study evaluates the anti‐inflammatory effect of Acanthospermum hispidum (AH) leaves and confirms its traditional use on diseases linked to inflammation. AH ethanol extract presents a dose‐dependent increase in anti‐inflammatory activity on the different times examined (T30 – T150). Also, stigmasterol present in AH shows potent antagonist influence

Micropropagation of Ficus carica L.

open access: yesHortScience, 1986
Abstract Many plant species now can be propagated successfully through tissue culture. In vitro work with figs has been restricted to attempts to enlongate single shoot tips to obtain plants free of fig mosaic virus (3). The present work was undertaken to develop a method for rapid propagation of Ficus carica L.

A Review of the Control of Coccidiosis in Poultry Using Natural Additives, Focusing on Gut Health and Immunity

open access: yesAdvances in Agriculture, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Coccidiosis is one of the most common diseases in the poultry industry worldwide (especially in broilers aged 3–6 weeks), causing significant economic losses to poultry farmers and governments every year. Conventional methods (anticoccidial chemical compounds) for the coccidiosis debarment and control always present challenges and disadvantages, such ...

Biosynthesis of SnO2 Nanoparticles by Fig (Ficus Carica) Leaf Extract for Electrochemically Determining Hg(II) in Water Samples

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2015
Biosynthesis of stannic oxide nanoparticles (SnO2 NPs) was achieved in an aqueous mixture of fig (Ficus carica) leaf extract and Tin(II) chloride solution at 80°C. The synthesized SnO2 NPs were characterized by various techniques.
