Small-scale Field-aligned Currents in the Magnetopause Boundary Layer

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Based on high-resolution measurements from the Magnetospheric Multiscale mission from 2015 May to 2018 June, we statistically investigate the properties of small-scale field-aligned currents (SFACs) in the magnetopause boundary layer.

Ionospheric F-region currents estimated from Macau Science Satellite-1 and Swarm satellite magnetic data

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics
Accurate modeling of Earth’s ionospheric F-region currents is essential for refining geomagnetic field models and understanding magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling.

Field-aligned currents and large-scale magnetospheric electric fields [PDF]

open access: yes
The existence of field-aligned currents (FAC) at northern and southern high latitudes was confirmed by a number of observations, most clearly by experiments on the TRIAD and ISIS 2 satellites.

Pressure balance at the magnetopause: Experimental studies

open access: yes, 2011
The pressure balance at the magnetopause is formed by magnetic field and plasma in the magnetosheath, on one side, and inside the magnetosphere, on the other side. In the approach of dipole earth's magnetic field configuration and gas-dynamics solar wind

Targeting TNBC: core–shell polycationic polyurea dendrimers with inherent anticancer activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Core–shell polycationic PURE dendrimers were tested in TNBC‐derived tumor models. Both formulations selectively targeted TNBC and effectively reduced tumor volume. PUREG4‐OEI48 suppressed tumor growth without detectable toxicity, whereas PUREG4‐OCEI24, despite showing efficacy, induced hepatic toxicity.

Studying internal and external magnetic fields in Japan using MAGSAT data [PDF]

open access: yes
Examination of the total intensity data of CHRONIT on a few paths over Japan and its neighboring sea shows MAGSAT is extremely useful for studying the local magnetic anomaly.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Field aligned current observations in the polar cusp ionosphere [PDF]

open access: yes
Vector magnetic field measurements made during a sounding rocket flight in the polar cusp ionosphere show field fluctuations in the lower F-region which are interpreted as being caused by the payload's passage through a structured field aligned current ...

Metformin promotes mitochondrial integrity through AMPK‐signaling in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Metformin mediates mitochondrial quality control in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) fibroblasts carrying mtDNA mutations. At therapeutic levels, metformin activates AMPK signaling to restore mitochondrial dynamics by promoting fusion and restraining fission, while preserving mitochondrial mass, enhancing autophagy/mitophagy and biogenesis ...
