Improved hybrid scrubbing scheme for spaceborne static random access memory-based field programmable gate arrays

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
With the shrinking feature sizes of static random access memory-based field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), the occurrence probability of multiple-cell upsets (MCUs) in FPGAs continues to increase. This reduces the reliability of FPGAs.

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Enhancing Small Molecule Sensing With Aptameric Functionalized Nano Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Unveiling an ultra‐sensitive, non‐invasive neurotransmitter sensor. For the first time, a nanoscale sensor for detecting an important neurotransmitter was demonstrated using micro‐electromechanical systems (MEMS) technology. Our approach utilized field‐effect transistor (FET)‐based readout to enable pico‐molar detection of biomarkers in sweat.

Straight to the Point: Intra- and Intercluster LUT Connections to Mitigate the Delay of Programmable Routing

open access: yes
Technology scaling makes metal delay ever more problematic, but routing between Look-Up Tables (LUTs) still passes through a series of transistors. It seems wise to avoid the corresponding delay whenever possible.

Efficient Addition on Field Programmable Gate Arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We investigate average efficient adders for grid-based environments related to current Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and VLSI-circuits. Motivated by current trends in FPGA hardware design we introduce a new computational model, called the λ -wired grid model. The parameter λ describes the degree of connectivity of the underlying hardware. This

Understanding Interfacial Photoswitching Mechanisms in Atomically‐Thin TMD‐Spiropyran Hybrids

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Photochromic molecules can effectively modulate the optoelectronic properties of atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductors. Spiropyran that switches its chemical configuration upon alternating UV and visible irradiation enables light‐programmable optoelectronic devices.
