Potential of on-line visible and near infrared spectroscopy for measurement of pH for deriving variable rate lime recommendations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper aims at exploring the potential of visible and near infrared (vis-NIR) spectroscopy for on-line measurement of soil pH, with the intention to produce variable rate lime recommendation maps.

Mid-infrared near-field spectroscopy

open access: yesOptics Express, 2009
We demonstrate continuous infrared spectra from 20 nm sample spots, by combining dispersive Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) with scattering near-field microscopy (s-SNOM). With the "apertureless" tip of a standard AFM cantilever in one arm of a Michelson interferometer the spectra arise simultaneously in amplitude and phase.

Star spectroscopy in the constant B-field background [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2002
In this paper we calculate the spectrum of Neumann matrix with zero modes in the presence of the constant B field in Witten's cubic string field theory. We find both the continuous spectrum inside $[{-1\over3}, 0)$ and the constraint on the existence of the discrete spectrum.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1513-1534, June 2026.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Resonant non-linear spectroscopy in strong fields [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Physics, 1983
A method is presented to describe multiple resonant nonlinear spectra in the presence of strong laser fields. The Liouville equation for the d. operator of the mol. system is transformed to a time-independent linear equation system. This can be easily solved rigorously by numerical methods or, after partitioning into a strong-field part and a ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Theoretical Study of Dipolar Relaxation of Coupled Nuclear Spins at Variable Magnetic Field

open access: yes, 2013
A theoretical study was made of magnetic field-dependent dipolar relaxation in two- and three-spin systems. The results for the nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion (NMRD) curves were compared with those for the simpler model of fluctuating local ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Optical fiber sensing based on reflection laser spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
An overview on high-resolution and fast interrogation of optical-fiber sensors relying on laser reflection spectroscopy is given. Fiber Bragg-gratings (FBGs) and FBG resonators built in fibers of different types are used for strain, temperature and ...
