Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

Deep Multi-Layer Perception Based Terrain Classification for Planetary Exploration Rovers

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Accurate classification and identification of the detected terrain is the basis for the long-distance patrol mission of the planetary rover. But terrain measurement based on vision and radar is subject to conditions such as light changes and dust storms.

FSA field test [PDF]

open access: yes
The 12 continental remote sites were decommissioned. Testing was consolidated into a five-site network consisting of the four Southern California sites and a new Florida site. 16 kW of new state-of-the-art modules were deployed at the five sites. Testing

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Experimental and Numerical Research on p-y Curve of Offshore Photovoltaic Pile Foundations on Sandy Soil Foundation

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
While methods like cyclic triaxial testing and p-y model updating theory exist in geotechnical and offshore wind engineering, they have not been systematically applied to solve the specific deformation problems of offshore PV piles.

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Performance Analysis of Vertical Sectorization in LTE Network Using AAS

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2014
An evaluation of vertical sectorization in LTE field trial was conducted. The field trial results show that the performance of vertical sectorization will be decreased due to the co-frequency interference between the inner and outer cells.

Field test of a practical secure communication network with decoy-state quantum cryptography

open access: yes, 2009
We present a secure network communication system that operated with decoy-state quantum cryptography in a real-world application scenario. The full key exchange and application protocols were performed in real time among three nodes, in which two ...
