From locality to irregularity: introducing local quenches in massive scalar field theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
In this paper, we initiate the study of operator local quenches in non-conformal field theories. We consider the dynamics of excited local states in massive scalar field theory in an arbitrary spacetime dimension and generalize the well-known two ...

Entanglement content of quantum particle excitations. Part II. Disconnected regions and logarithmic negativity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
In this paper we study the increment of the entanglement entropy and of the (replica) logarithmic negativity in a zero-density excited state of a free massive bosonic theory, compared to the ground state.

Entanglement of harmonic systems in squeezed states

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
The entanglement entropy of a free scalar field in its ground state is dominated by an area law term. It is noteworthy, however, that the study of entanglement in scalar field theory has not advanced far beyond the ground state.

The complex sinh-Gordon model: form factors of descendant operators and current-current perturbations

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study quasilocal operators in the quantum complex sinh-Gordon theory in the form factor approach. The free field procedure for descendant operators is developed by introducing the algebra of screening currents and related algebraic objects.

Numerical and Theoretical Study of a Monodisperse Hard-Sphere Glass Former [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
There exists a variety of theories of the glass transition and many more numerical models. But because the models need built-in complexity to prevent crystallization, comparisons with theory can be difficult.

Topological quantum field theory and four-manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
I review some recent results on four-manifold invariants which have been obtained in the context of topological quantum field theory. I focus on three different aspects: (a) the computation of correlation functions, which give explicit results for the ...

Modular energy inequalities from relative entropy

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
We obtain new constraints for the modular energy of general states by using the monotonicity property of relative entropy. In some cases, modular energy can be related to the energy density of states and these constraints lead to interesting relations ...

Compactifying 5d superconformal field theories to 3d

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Building on recent progress in the study of compactifications of 6d (1, 0) superconformal field theories (SCFTs) on Riemann surfaces to 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 theories, we initiate a systematic study of compactifications of 5d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1

Imeglimin attenuates liver fibrosis by inhibiting vesicular ATP release from hepatic stellate cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Imeglimin, at clinically relevant concentrations, inhibits vesicular ATP accumulation and release from hepatic stellate cells, thereby attenuating purinergic signaling and reducing fibrogenic activation. This mechanism reveals a newly identified antifibrotic action of imeglimin beyond glycemic control.

Consistent Kaluza-Klein truncations via exceptional field theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A bstractWe present the generalized Scherk-Schwarz reduction ansatz for the full supersymmetric exceptional field theory in terms of group valued twist matrices subject to consistency equations.
