Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

A Probabilistic Interpretation of the IEC 61000-4-21 Threshold Levels for Field Uniformity in Ideal Reverberation Chambers

open access: yes, 2020
Statistical field uniformity is the main property of reverberation chambers. In many key and seminal works, it is even the way reverberation chambers are defined.

Design of PEMFC bipolar plate cooling flow field based on fractal theory

open access: yesEnergy Conversion and Management: X, 2023
During the operation of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), the chemical reaction yields a large amount of heat. Long-term operation may cause local overheating problems which damage the proton exchange membrane structure, pull down the fuel ...

Versatile vector tools for efficient protein screening across multiple expression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A unified vector toolkit enables rapid protein expression screening across E. coli, insect, and mammalian cells. A single primer pair amplifies the target gene, which is inserted into any vector via a standardized interface. This streamlined workflow eliminates repeated cloning steps, accelerating the identification of optimal expression conditions for

Magnetic field uniformity in neutron electric dipole moment experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceMagnetic-field uniformity is of the utmost importance in experiments to measure the electric dipole moment of the neutron. A general parametrization of the magnetic field in terms of harmonic polynomial modes is proposed, going ...
