Nonalcoholic Cirrhosis Associated With Neuropsycholo'gical Dysfunction in the Absence of Overt Evidence of Hepatic Encephalopathy [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
Although much is known about the neuropsychological functioning of cirrhotic individuals with Laennec's (alcohol associated) cirrhosis, little is known about the neuropsychological functioning of^individuals with nonalcoholic cirrhosis.

Additional file 5: Figure S5. of HiCPlotter integrates genomic data with interaction matrices

open access: yes, 2015
Example visualization of RAP-Seq data as histograms with HiCPlotter. a Interaction matrix of mouse embryonic stem cells displayed as a heatmap. b Histograms representing RAP-Seq genomic assay signals: five tracks are displayed for Xist localization across the X chromosome at five time points (Xist_0h, Xist_1h, Xist_2h, Xist_3h, and Xist_6h) after Xist ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Transfer after process-based object-location memory training in healthy older adults [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A substantial part of age-related episodic memory decline has been attributed to the decreasing ability of older adults to encode and retrieve associations among simultaneously processed information units from long-term memory.

open access: yes, 2015
An example region for no significant change in Hi-C maps even though linear genomic signal changes. a Hi-C contact maps are visualized as heatmaps for GM12878 and K562 cells. Histograms representing DNAseI hypersensitivity (b), RNA-Seq expression (c) and Repli-Seq signals (d) for each type. e Tiles mark chromatin states (yellow for enhancers, green for

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Trinocular stereovision using figural continuity, dealing with curved objects [PDF]

open access: yes
A method to build a dense and reliable 3-D description of a scene from three digital images by means of passive stereovision is presented. This method uses figural continuity to improve the results of a previously developed algorithm.

Food for thought: Association between dietary tyrosine and cognitive performance in younger and older adults [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The fact that tyrosine increases dopamine availability that, in turn, may enhance cognitive performance has led to numerous studies on healthy young participants taking tyrosine as a food supplement. As a result of this dietary intervention, participants
